Celebrating Thinking Of You Week

The Imagination Spot and Soapy Gnome are partnering to celebrate Thinking of You Week, a special week in September 2018 promoting sending and receiving greeting cards to create a wave of happiness around the world.

There is scientific evidence to show that receiving a handwritten card makes people feel much more special than receiving instant digital communication such as texts, emails or Facebook messages. This is because it takes more time, effort and emotional investment to send them – not to mention the special power of handwriting!

People around the world will be sending cards during this week to raise smiles across the miles and give everyone a positive boost.

Events will be taking place across the country and we’re celebrating the week in Goshen by having a card writing event at Soapy Gnome.

We will have a special card writing event. Customers will be able to purchase a “Pick 7 Get 1 Free” card special all week long. Write your card in store and we will mail it for you. *Free U.S. stamps when you write your card in store while quantities last.

We would be delighted if you would join us!

And for the good ol’ classic romantic love relationship, a Valentine’s card with a handwritten note personalizes the flowers or candy that would otherwise not do justice to your feelings.

An ode to gift wrapping

Oh, the glory of a well-wrapped gift!  You know the type: Perfectly coiffed in quality paper, a bow so magnificent that it puts all other bows to shame and, as Dr. Seuss says in the television version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, “with fuzzle fuzz and fliffer bloofs and wuzzle wuzz…[and] yards of whoflut flay.”
