Reflecting on 2023...

As we approach the end of 2023, it's  time to reflect on this year. 2023 has been a journey of highs and lows, challenges, and some unexpected turns. I wanted to take a moment to share some personal reflections, and share my hopes and plans for the new year.

This year started on a great note. I loved serving our customers in our shop as well as hosting fun workshops and events. I was able to design some new greeting cards this year and I'm super excited to get one of my Valentine cards featured in the Stationery Trends magazine along with two of my party invitations featured in the Gift Shop Plus Celebration magazine.

Earlier this year, our customers nominated us for the Best in Michiana under the Crafts & Art Supplies and we ended up winning in that category. Thank you for all your love and votes. Curating this shop with unique finds and creative things has been so much fun.

In June, we celebrated our 4 years of having a storefront. I have loved being a part of downtown Goshen so much. In July, we exhibited again at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair with a bigger and better presence. I was thrilled to be able to hold an art contest for the 4-H kids as well as to be able to donate portion of our sales to the Elkhart County 4-H.

With the start of Fall, I spent a lot of time reflecting at my business and my personal life. While I loved every part of having a storefront, I realized that it was taking time away from our family. Balancing a retail shop and family was starting to feel more and more challenging. I also missed having the time to create and design. After a lot of reflection, I decided to make this very hard decision to close my storefront and move my shop online.

However, even though one chapter of The Imagination Spot is ending, I am excited to bring new things in 2024. You will still be able to shop our products online and there will be more news coming soon for all our local customers. Keep an eye on my social media for more updates.

Thank you to all our customers and to everyone who has been a part of The Imagination Spot team. Thank you for being a part of this incredible journey with me. I am extremely grateful for everyone who has shopped with us, created with us as well as followed along with us in downtown Goshen for the last four and a half years. Your support and love has meant a lot to me.

As we start this new year, I wish you and your family great health, happiness and prosperity. A very Happy New Year to all!
