The Imagination Spot - Stationery & Gift Shop

The Imagination Spot retail shop

After months of hard work, I am so thrilled to be able to see my dream shop come to life. Opening a retail shop is no easy task. I did not realize how much is involved in starting a brick and mortar store. It involves everything from creating or sourcing products, getting displays and fixtures, getting a POS system, making bar codes and pricing everything as well as a lot more. Decorating the shop is a lot of fun but also full of challenges trying to figure out how to maximize the space without making it look crowded. Most of our display tables and shelves are repurposed and I love how they add character to the shop.

Most of the products in our shop are designed by me. I am excited to bring greeting cards and stationery items from other small businesses as well. You will also be able to find fun gift items for all ages like puzzles, bracelets, mugs, tote bags, etc. We also have fun sketchbooks, coloring books and some art supplies to help you get creative and bring your imagination to life.

I love our little custom stationery and invitations shop section. You can come and browse through designer albums at any time. You can make an appointment to place a custom stationery order and I would love to help create something personalized just for you.

Opening this shop was a group effort for us. Our friends and family helped move, decorate and get every thing ready for our opening. i am very grateful to everyone who pitched in. We couldn't have done this without your help.

This past Friday we had our Grand Opening during the First Friday events in downtown Goshen. We had face painting for kids, refreshments and a prize drawing. I am thrilled with the response we received from our customers. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and joined in our celebration.

Our store hours are Thursday and Friday from 10 am - 6 pm and Saturday from 10 am - 4pm. We are open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays by appointment only. Come visit us at 108 E Washington St. in Goshen.

Send some love to Vals, gals and pals
Send some love to Vals, gals and pals

by Tracie Davis January 27, 2020

Why shouldn’t there be at least one day a year where every type of love is expressed? Palentine’s Day makes it oh-so-easy to connect with a secret crush by sending a humorous seems-platonic-but-maybe-it-isn’t card. If it’s a challenge to get your girl gang together due to family, work and other commitments, sending every member of your troop a Galentine’s card is a way to reinforce the emotional cement that binds you together. And for the good ol’ classic romantic love relationship, a Valentine’s card with a handwritten note personalizes the flowers or candy that would otherwise not do justice to your feelings.

An ode to gift wrapping
An ode to gift wrapping

Oh, the glory of a well-wrapped gift!  You know the type: Perfectly coiffed in quality paper, a bow so magnificent that it puts all other bows to shame and, as Dr. Seuss says in the television version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas, “with fuzzle fuzz and fliffer bloofs and wuzzle wuzz…[and] yards of whoflut flay.”

Hello friends, a lot of you have recently signed up for my newsletter or started following me on social media so I wanted to stop by and introduce myself. I am Jasmine Wall, the founder and designer of The Imagination Spot. I started my small business in 2014 while I was working full time as an illustrator and graphic designer in a gift company. Working late in the evenings, I built up my greeting card line which included digitally created as well as lino-cut hand printed designs.
